At a very grass-root level we are responding to the challenge that COVID19 has presented us with, by providing food and other essential supplies to our vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our human family in different localities.

Action Against Poverty - One Human Society
AMURT celebrates the life and principles of a towering personality who shone a beam of light on the path of a humanity struggling for universal human rights.
While AMURT supports the vulnerable everyday, we dedicate this event to the continuing fight against poverty and the right of every human being to food security.
As Nelson Mandela eloquently said:
“Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice”
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the country’s first black head of state and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election.
In Melbourne, supporting “Action against Poverty”, we will participate together with Nelson Mandela Commemorative Committee and Africause, in an food support event for vulnerable families and persons.
The event will take place at 11:30am in Footscray on the 17th July 2020.
Melbourne
We provide fresh fruit, vegetables, non perishables and other essentials to struggling students, unemployed, homeless, settled refugees and other migrant members of our human family. we serve communities in the greater melbourne area with an alternating weekly and fortnightly distribution.
Brisbane
We provide fresh, healthy cooked meals on a weekly basis at two different locations. We also provide mental support in the form of yoga and meditation classes to alleviate stress. We are working very hard to upscale our organizational capacity as the numbers of our human family who are severely affected, grows.
Sydney * Katoomba
Since 2000 we have been providing cooked meals to the needy members of our human family in Katoomba. We also provide fresh vegetable, non perishables and essentials to disadvantaged aboriginal and islander members of our human family in Leithbridge, Cambridge Park and Sydney Western suburbs.
